BREAKING NEWS: Lancaster Catholic All-State senior QB Kyle Smith has a sprained right ankle, he is on crutches, and he will not play tonight vs. Manheim Central. Can't confirm how long he will be out. Nobody wants to talk just yet. Sophomore Sean Gibbons is expected to get the start at QB for LCHS tonight vs. the Barons. I'm going to scour around and see what else I can find out. Sit tight.

Just talked to Kyle Smith on the field - he's pretty upset, as you can imagine. He told me he's going to do everything he can to get back for next Friday vs. Donegal in the Section 3 opener. But it will probably be 2 more weeks minimum. Coach Harbach didn't have much to say. I got a quick handshake and he just short of shrugged. He's pretty bummed. But injuries happen ...
