I have a teenager and a young adult and the abuse of prescription appears to be a large and growing problem. I think this community needs a task force, made up of school officials, law enforcement, medical and dental, pharmacist and parents to promote media efforts toward preventative education, permanent drop off sites for unused prescription drugs, enforcement and treatment options for addiction. What entity would best be suited to initiate something like this? Would it be the City of Waco? There are other communities that have done this and our efforts could be modeled after those. ]]></description></item>

We have a top-notch crime prevention unit that will come out to homes and do security surveys at no cost. They can also assist with setting up neighborhood watches. As well, they do crime prevention programs to groups such as neighborhood associations, businesses, and schools on how to better protect yourself.<br/>Burglars typically don't like to be seen.
