Few shoppers but it's still early. There are some folks from the Tucker Business Association hanging holiday decorations on the street lamps. Just spoke to Bill Rosenfeld. He owns a jewelry store on LaVista. He said: "Everyone should shop local! If you promoto the local shops, you're promoting the local economy."

Heather Gulden, who owns Tucker Pet Supply, said, "It's going well! Lat year was really good for us." She was surprised that customers came from areas other than Tucker. "It was kinda different.."

Tiffany, at Sweet Dee's Bake Shop, is also putting up decorations. She hasn't opened the place just yet. "I don't know if a lot of people know about (Small Business Saturday). We hope to do well..." She added, "You know, Patch is the only reason I found out about the (holiday) parade in Stone Mountain!"

The Festival gift shop opened at 11 this morning and there were a few customers there when Patch walked in.. Owner Nancy Qarmout said."I just went and spent a bunch of money at Walmart on Christmas decorations. Pretty ironic if you ask me."

Kathy Powell of the Tucker Historical Society was browsing at Festival, looking at some cool wooden puzzles. She pointed out that some of her own artwork is for sale in the shop - fabric wall hangings and cushions. "It's been pretty good," she said. "They've been here almost a year."

Walked into the Garden Enthusiast and spoke to the very amiable owner, Linda Karr. She's wearing a Santa hat today but doesn't like being photographed. What a shame.. She looks great in it. "Yesterday (Black Friday) was really good for us. Much better than last year. Wonderful." She said today has been pretty normal so far.
